Tower from the 12th century
The oldest part of the property is the tower. Built at the end of the 12th century, it served for a long time as a watchtower for the fortress of Jijona, located a little further away. In later times, the building continued to expand and serve as a residence.
The house is located on a mountain against the village centre of Jijona, so you always have beautiful views over the village and the beautiful surroundings.
The tower consists of three floors and the rest of the property of two floors, with 10 bedrooms, five bathrooms, two kitchens, three dining rooms and two patios divided between them. The floors are connected by a beautiful staircase.
This consists of a hall, dining room, living room, corridor connecting to three bedrooms, a corridor with bathroom and a corridor with stairs, which in turn connects to an inner patio, a kitchen, which leads to another inner patio, and a corridor leading to a utility room, a bathroom, a north-facing terrace, a living room and two bedrooms.
The first floor has a built-up area of 218.22 square metres, accessed by two staircases, one connected to the ground-floor hall and the other directly connected to the house's south-facing terrace, and the staircase connected to the corridor leading to the east-facing living area, the tower used as a dining room, a kitchen, a utility room, a cloakroom and three bedrooms.
You will find this property in the town of Jijona. This cosy mountain village has about 7,000 inhabitants and is about 20 kilometres from the coast. Thanks to its excellent accessibility, a drive to the coast takes just 10 minutes.
